Today was our first day in Cape Verde. We spent the entire day yesterday (or today since I haven't really slept) finishing up staging and passing time at the airport. No one really slept on the plane, so we are going for two days without all that much of a break. The combination of being both overexcited and ridiculously tired should be interesting. Flying into Cape Verde was definitely an unreal experience. I'm not sure when it will hit that I'll be here for over two years. During the flight I saw a full moon on one side and the sun rising on the other. I can't really think of a better way to start something as big as this is.
